Feel It to Heal It

I’m writing this from the heart of Costa Rica, where I’m witnessing the most profound and powerful transformations unfold in our TEW HYBRID 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training students. I wish you could be here to experience this magic firsthand—the kind that feels so raw and real you can practically feel it shifting in your own heart.

The energy here is potent. 

Each day, I’m watching these incredible souls experience life-changing breakthroughs and recalibrate at a core level. It’s not just about learning the techniques or mastering the postures (though that’s happening, too!); it’s about peeling back layers, moving through deeply held emotions, and healing from the inside out. 

This is “Feel it to Heal it” in real-time.

Here’s the thing: the emotions, memories, and beliefs that hold us back often stay buried until we give them space to breathe, to move, and to be released. That’s the real work here—not just becoming yoga teachers, but stepping into our truest selves. The shifts that happen when we allow ourselves to feel so deeply are the key to healing the root causes of pain, of self-doubt, and of patterns that no longer serve.

What we’re doing here goes beyond any surface-level transformation. 

Students are reclaiming themselves in ways they never thought possible. They’re processing years, sometimes decades, of held emotions, memories, and limitations. And the energy of Costa Rica? It’s fueling these massive recalibrations. You can see it in their eyes, their voices, and the way they carry themselves. They’re stepping fully into alignment, not just as future yoga teachers, but as empowered, awakened beings ready to carry this light back out into the world.

If you’re feeling the pull to experience your own shift, here are three powerful steps to help you cultivate massive change in your own life:

 

1. Set Aside Time to “Feel it to Heal it”

Give yourself permission to truly feel the emotions you may have buried—find 15-30 minutes each week to sit with whatever surfaces. Journaling, meditation, or even a nature walk can be the perfect container to process these emotions without judgment. Allow the emotions to come, honor them, and let them go.

2. Surround Yourself with the Energy of Growth

Whether it’s a friend who inspires you, a book that awakens something inside you, or a routine that keeps you grounded—let your environment reflect the change you seek. Nourish your mind, body, and spirit with uplifting energy. You’ll be amazed at how quickly things shift when you’re consciously choosing growth.

3. Take One Aligned Action Toward Your Dreams

Start small, but make it meaningful. This might mean enrolling in a class, setting aside time for a passion project, or simply saying “no” to what no longer serves you. Each aligned action creates momentum. With each step, you build confidence, strength, and clarity on the path that’s calling you.
