Reclaiming Your Power in the Midst of Change
Mar 05, 2025
I’ll be real with you—this year has already kicked my ass.
Pregnancy has cracked me open in ways I never expected. One minute, I’m in awe of what my body is creating, and the next, I’m spiraling through an identity crisis, wondering, Who even am I anymore? I spent an entire month trapped in 20-degree weather, sick with an upper respiratory infection that wouldn’t quit.
Then I finally escaped to Tulum to celebrate my birthday—only to spend the week violently vomiting thanks to the norovirus I unknowingly packed in my carry-on. So fun. And let’s not even get started on the 27 years of body dysmorphia that came rushing back as my body expands in ways I can’t control.
It’s been a rough start to 2025. But here’s the thing: I’m still here. I’m still showing up.
And every time I start to lose myself, I anchor back into my truth. My dharma.
This is the part no one tells you about stepping into the life you were meant for. It’s not always a seamless, linear path. It’s messy. It’s uncomfortable. It will challenge everything you thought you knew about yourself.
But it will also awaken parts of you that you didn’t even know existed.
How to Reconnect With Your Power in the Midst of Change
If you’re in the thick of it right now—navigating uncertainty, questioning your path, feeling like you’ve lost yourself along the way—this is for you. Here are three ways to reclaim your power and realign with the version of you that’s waiting on the other side of this transformation:
1. Get Back Into Your Body
When life feels out of control, the fastest way to ground yourself is to come back into your body. Movement, breath, and sound are powerful tools to help regulate your nervous system and shift you out of fear and doubt.
- A Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) isn’t just about learning to teach—it’s about deepening your personal practice, understanding your body, and reconnecting with yourself on a soul level.
- Sound healing is another incredible way to move stagnant energy and find clarity when your mind feels clouded.
If you’re feeling disconnected, start small. Roll out your mat. Take three deep breaths. Sing, hum, or simply listen to music that moves you. Your body holds wisdom—let it guide you back home.
2. Find Community & Support
Change can feel isolating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. When I started losing myself in my own transformation, stepping into my role as an educator pulled me back. Teaching, sharing, and surrounding myself with others who are also on this path reminded me of who I am.
- Attending a retreat can be a powerful way to immerse yourself in a supportive, healing environment that nurtures your growth.
- If you’re craving deeper connection, consider joining a training or community where you can be held, seen, and supported in your evolution.
You were never meant to do this alone. Find your people. Lean on them. Let them remind you of your power.
3. Shift the Story You’re Telling Yourself
Every transformation brings resistance. The voice in your head will try to convince you that you’re not ready, not good enough, or that you’ve made a mistake. But those thoughts? They’re not the truth.
- Your mind is a storyteller. If you don’t like the story it’s telling, rewrite it.
- When self-doubt creeps in, pause and ask yourself: Is this actually true? Or is this just fear trying to keep me safe?
Your words shape your reality. Speak to yourself with the same love, belief, and encouragement you’d offer a friend.

- What are the biggest fears or doubts coming up for me right now? Where do I think they stem from?
- If I trusted fully in my power and potential, what would I do differently today?
- What version of me is waiting on the other side of this transformation? What does she/he/they know that I don’t yet?
Final Thoughts
Transformation will shake you. It will challenge you. It will push you to the edge of everything you thought you knew about yourself. But it’s also where your power lives.
When you anchor into your truth—your dharma—you remember: You were built for this.
So if you’re feeling lost, let this be your reminder: You’re not lost. You’re evolving. And on the other side? A version of you that is more powerful than you ever imagined. If you’re ready to step fully into your power, I’d love to support you. Join me for a retreat, a YTT, or a sound healing training—and let’s reconnect to the magic within you.
You’ve got this. And I’m right here with you.
