Here are four essential steps that helped me, and they might help you, too.
1. Embrace Self-Compassion
Imagine your best friend struggling—how would you comfort them? Now, turn that kindness inward. Self-compassion means offering yourself the same love and understanding.
Personal Insight:
I used to push myself relentlessly, thinking my worth was tied to productivity. One night, feeling overwhelmed, I placed my hand on my heart and whispered, “I’m here for you.” That simple act of kindness changed everything.
Action Steps:
- Morning Affirmation: Start your day with, “I deserve love and healing.”
- Pause & Breathe: Throughout the day, place a hand on your heart and take three deep breaths.
